Great Information.

This well-written book contains tons of information about bats, the benefits they provide to the environment and crops (pollination), and how different species live. The story also dispels lot of common myths. I also admire the author's ability to point out his own errors and how he learned from them.

the narrator was great in the beginning, but in the last few chapters he read more slowly and with less enthusiasm and energy.

Dr. Tuttle’s adventures saving bats is amazing!

Highly recommend this book. Dr. Merlin Tuttle relives his 60 or so years of studying and advocating for bats. Highly entertaining and stories that rival some Indiana Jones tales. I have bought three paperback copies for my classroom. Wish he would publish more.

Bats Are Fascinating!

The author is not only a bat expert. He is also a master storyteller. He has an impressive treasure trove of experiences to draw from. His life would still be amazing if he had done half the things he relates in this book. The narration is lively and engaging. You gotta listen to this book.

An amazing account of bats from one of the world’s leading bat researchers

The reading is outstanding, and so much great information is provided. If you are into nature photography, or spelunking, you will love this as well! Bats are one of our most overlooked and under appreciated species, and this book will teach even the most critical sceptic of bats how important they are, and why the need our support and protection. I’m glad I added my fifth bat house to my property this year. Hopefully this helps! Thank you, Mr. Tuttle for all you have done!

Great book! Great work to help bars

My only lament is some of the dated and culturally insensitive language written from a white male perspective that creeps in at times. Likely just showing it’s age.

I'm bats about Bats now.

most bats really do get a bad rap. After listening to Merlin talk about all things bats I dont think there's reason to worry. Among other benefits they contribute significantly to pest control and pollination for food crops that we depend on. more people should know the truth about bats.

SO FANTASTIC

I’ve loved bats for so long and been so interested in them. I have several bat houses in VA and love watching them fly around us at the pool. I’ve been a long time supporter of bat conservation international and have been delighted to hear about the substantial impact they have made around the world. Such a great listen and wonderfully narrated.

Absolutely fantastic and engaging book with great narration. Couldn’t recommend more highly, it’s been many years since I’ve come across a book this engaging and endearing.
