From the bestselling author of Murder at Rutherford Hall, Murder at Ravenrock and The Riverton Case, comes the fourth book in the Rachel Markham Mystery Series - The Santinelli Case.

Set in the exciting world of post-war Paris, in the winter of 1947, Rachel and Jeremy are called upon to investigate the sensational murder of Countess Santinelli in a Montmartre art studio. Their quest to uncover the truth leads them from the charming avant-garde streets of fashionable Paris and the gilded rooms of the Ritz and Maxim’s to the dingy by-lanes of Montmartre - a place that offers refuge to exiles from fascist Europe, artists, revolutionaries, musicians, heroes of the resistance, et al. As Rachel and Jeremy dig deeper, in a bid to solve the case, Rachel must come face to face with her own fears and help Jeremy and the Sûreté track down a devious killer within the city’s big beating heart, where extreme wealth and poverty collide setting the stage for a mesmerising tale of mystery.

The Santinelli Case is an intriguing sequel to PB Kolleri’s first three books, ‘Murder at Rutherford Hall’, ‘Murder at Ravenrock’ and ‘The Riverton Case’.

A Cozy And Fun Read, February 19, 2013 By L.I. LINDA (LI NY)
This book reads like a P.B.S. television mystery series. I am an Anglophile and enjoyed every page. I highly recommend it to lovers of all things British.
Wonderful!, August 20, 2013 By Jessica Strong
This is such a well written story. It truly is a wonderful book and I am sure that it is more than comparable to Agatha Christie. The time period is well researched and is informative of the time just after the war in England. I look forward to the next in the series.
A respectable companion to Agatha Christie mysteries, September 25, 2013 By Jacqui
I have discovered this author only recently, and have now read two books in the Rachel Markham series. I am really enjoying the plots, the characterisation and the elegance of the era in which it is set. The plots are well constructed, the characters plausible and the skilful unfolding of clues and style are reminiscent of the best of the Christie novels. Rachel Markham and her husband make interesting sleuths -intelligent, ethical and methodical. I hope Kolleri will publish more of these novels.

A SPECIAL NOTE TO ALL READERS: Please note that all spellings are in British English. Words like humour, colour, flavour, honour, kerfuffle, among others, are not "misspelled" or mistakes in editing but that is exactly how these words are written in British English. Also, British colloquialisms from the 1940s have been sprinkled liberally throughout the book, which are not editing errors but deliberately infused through the historical storylines, without which much of their charm would have been lost. You may find many words in this book that are British English, which mean something entirely different in American English; for instance, the term "outhouse" is used in North American English for the structure over a toilet, however, in British English "outhouse" means any outbuilding, such as a shed or barn.

I do hope you will enjoy this 'whodunit' for its own classic English flavour and its signature dry British humour.
Best wishes to all my wonderful readers!
