Callum remembers that they had issues before he went inside, but by now he thought they would have grown up. Instead, they’re worse.
And when Callum starts hallucinating, he wonders whether he’s traveling down the same path.
But Callum’s visions are different; they take him back in time, eventually revealing to him the shocking story of the founding of La Crouge, showing how only he can right historic wrongs and lift the veils of darkness that blight the lives of his buddies.
