The Supreme Overlord is participating in the selection for the first time since their arrival. And apparently, not all of the aliens have the same type.

it is a short story, but I didn't like how suddenly it ended, it felt more like the start of what could be a good book more that the complete story on its own

This sounds like the beginning of a very titillating series should the author decide to go forward with it. Only downside is the virtual voice.

I appreciate the lead having a short background and being a person of color... Soooo many books talk about the "beautiful pale skin" It is nice to hear something different. Definitely a short and to the point story. I would like to listen to more from this author. There is a lot of room to grow in this world.

Vivid imagery, leaves you wanting to know how the story might continue, does a good job at showing and not telling to have you feel for the characters. Decent narration.
