Loved the first book! And this story was great too- BUTT- I just found Tess’s character to be very self absorbed and annoying this time around. She gets upset at him for making decisions based on how he thinks she’ll feel- then turns around and does it on a MUCHHHH BIGGER SCALE.
But also- Author has ways to go with understanding women….. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

The author did a great job at making certain characters truly get under my skin- at the shower?? No one was listening to the bride- I’d be pissed too-
Let’s be honest- Nicky was kinda being manipulative.

“You’re not the same person you used to be- you don’t have time for any of us anymore”….. uummm- ANY commoner marrying into royalty would “change” in that aspect. And shit- they have DUTIES now- they LITERALLY won’t have the time! Lack of time does not mean someone has changed! Ugh- I could go on.

But the ability for it to provoke such emotions in me over and over again- is EXACTLY why I think the author did an amazing job!

Funny and swet

I don't think I have ever laughed out loud listening to a book before. But the seen in the night club has tears rolling down my face!

The book is so good that even the male voice cannot ruin it completely

The male voice is too old,doesn’t match the character and does ridiculous imitations of females speaking even when the subject mater is serious. The female interpreter is excellent and the story is very good. Read the written word if you can - the audio book is a waste of $7.

Best series I’ve read in a long time!!

Wonderfully written story. Very funny and heart warming. I bought the book as well and gave it to my sister. She’s hooked too!

I need Avonia to be real!

Omg I love this series so much! Greatest one I’ve found in ages. I absolutely love this fictitious world and all its characters! Even Jiles and Veronica, they need their own story too lol. I see a lot of hate for the male narrator but I love him, especially as Arthur and Gran. The female narrator is far superior though, her range is astounding, even for lesser characters like Hazel! Simply amazing work. My only complaint is I loathe second person narrative which the characters sometimes revert to. I hate when characters flirt with the fourth wall. I also hate present tense narrative but the series is so good I made an exception!

(Spoilers) Tessa is just so lovable, no matter what stupid, questionable things she says or does. She was a toxic, liberal fraud (imo) in book one but she won my heart along with Arthur’s. The evolution of her character continues in this book. Her conflicts with Arthur are so relatable and real. Did anyone else want to punch Lady Doctor Brooke Beddingfield right in the face? Lol ugh Arthur was def naive not realizing she wanted him.

Omg Tessa’s family is SO horrible to her. They have ZERO tact and boundaries which results in Tessa viciously overreacting on the rare occasions she jumps to defend herself. The bridal shower made me SO angry! That speech her mom made?! Ew! And even though Tessa humiliates her, the mother still NEVER apologizes for embarrassing and belittling her. And then her dad and brothers just heap more on her. Tessa could have used a sister to go to bat for her, good thing she has Arabella! The christmas gifts Tessa gave the royal siblings were my fav part! Tessa could have sold and exploited those photos but she chose to preserve them for her husband and new sister. This gesture makes Arabella finally trust Tessa.

I was laughing out loud in my car when Arthur was warring with the I hate Tessa ppl on twitter. Sooo freaking cute! I admit he goes overboard but his heart is in a good place and always with Tessa. I think his whole family including Tessa is WAY too hard on him. Yes, sometimes he lies and keeps secrets but it’s mostly bc he fears ppl’s reactions or he thinks it’s for the greater good. I don’t condone lying of course but his is not done with malicious intent. He is truly amazing, running a kingdom in his selfish father’s stead, balancing his emotional sister, demanding fiancée and snarky gran lmao. I really respected Tessa for working for as long as she could too. She’s so caring that she will be an asset to all the charities. Her one sister in law was so mean saying Tessa was stupid for still taking home a tiny paycheck while marrying a prince. Poor Tessa has so many toxic, negative ppl in her life, no wonder she’s so insecure and it affects her relationship with Arthur.

Omg poor Tessa with the one legged or one armed man! Ugh disaster is her middle name. I love that Arthur adores her the way she is but it’s also understandable why he gets frustrated with her. I’d say Nikki was mostly to blame for the girls gone wild night and the body guards should have kept things under control. I LOVED Arthur’s reaction when he found out Tessa was starving herself for the wedding. And that freaking cat UGH!!! Tessa should just let that thing out the front door lmao. The parents’ reactions are ALWAYS disproportionate to what they should be. They clearly love Tessa but this family has issues! So does Arthur’s even more so. The poor queen ugh. I’m so glad that Tessa weighed the good with the bad and made the right choice. I loved when she called Arthur “a potential cheat and a liar” and Nikki pointed out that everything else was so wonderful that it could be overlooked. No relationship is perfect and ppl give up wayyy too easily when things go wrong.

I highly recommend this book to fans of romance and this author and narrators. Avonia is such a wonderful place that you’ll wish it were real!

Prince Arthur’s Voice

I love this series. The only annoying part is when the reader in charge of talking for Prince Arthur attempts to sound like Tessa. It comes off sounding like a muppet or silly teenager. The book itself, wonderful.

It just gets better!

These book series is amazing!!! I’m ready for the next one already! I’ll be pushing play now........

Wonderful Royal comedy

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Voice actors are superb. Can’t wait to listen to the next episode.

Sweet yet funny

I know I’m not the only one who thinks the male voice is too old for the character and does an annoying female voice, but it’s kind of humorous. I’m glad I discovered the second and third book in the series. I just love it.
