Interesting end-times story with an islamic antich

I am writing this review after listening to all six books. It was a great story with many characters I came to care about.

The story is an interesting take on how the end-times could play out centered around an Islamic Antichrist as also suggested by Joel Richardson. The story is far richer than just this and includes the expected mayhem associated with the various judgements. The writing is a bit stiff in the first book but gets much better with deeper dialog and contemplation. As part of the story, the characters interpret various bible passages, primarily related to Daniel and Revelation. I found those reflections interesting and worth thinking about.

The Virtual Narrator (VN) is acceptable but not great. The VN is *far better* than the typical robotic text-to-speech, but lacks emotion and personality. This is partly helped by the writing style, as each chapter/section starts by indicating “who” is the focal point for the chapter. It’s far easier to stay oriented when I know that it’s Ford that is doing the talking ahead of time. Still, a professional narrator could deliver a better interpretation.

The story was great but the voiced being AI lacked any inflection. Needs a real person reading it.

The story was good and interesting

At first I wondered how someone could possibly read that poorly! Then it dawned on me that it had to be AI. WOW - thank God for humans! Very badly read but I got through it and the story was good.

Good story, not your typical end times fiction!

The story was good and different from what I’ve read in the past. The narration was a little wonky but not so much as to be distracting. I kind of got a kick out of hearing him say things funny “Nine hundred eleven, what’s your emergency?” That might be my favorite one. I will read the subsequent books and I like that the viewpoint is not my typical pre-trib rapture story. Gives me stuff to think about. I enjoyed this!

The Rapture?

Lots of biblical context but the author totally left out 1 Thessalonians 4:16 along with Revelation 4:1 - Come up hither. Before the seal judgements, Christians will be caught up; because we are not appointed to wrath.

The story needs a live narrator

The story is great, but AI lacks the emotional range to truly captivate me. Lots of good scripture references help me to follow up after listening and see how the prophets link together.
The narration is flat and makes it difficult to separate characters. The lack of emotion causes the romance, the battles and the tragedies to have the same impact as sharing coffee in a diner. Plus, AI does not read certain things right, "Nine Hundred and Eleven, what is your emergency?"
I would love to hear Kevin Pierce or Stacy Glembowski reading this series!

It was a good read for those interested in future events and how they may play out.

interesting Bible views

I am just finishing the last book. So to start I like that the writer portrays Jesus as Lord. he has a lot of Bible verses in the series, and it seems like his main goal is to lead people to Christ. I also am intrigued with the Muslim antichrist.
The reading is abysmal, no inflections, constantly changing names because the reader miss pronounces. It is awful.
Spoilers and the things I didn't like/agree with.
- I have struggled with a pron addiction since I was 11 and there are a couple places in the story that fuel the imagination to much for my taste. one scene in particular with Abu Tab when you first meet her really had me struggling so if your addiction can be triggered by imagination beware.
- The writer tries to preach through his characters a sort of purgatory. By using the verses related everyone being judged by your deeds he portrays that you may make it to heaven if you were good enough after the great white throne judgement. the Bible is clear on this. "I am the way, the truth, and the life, no one will get to the father except through me." "Broad is the road that leads to destruction, but narrow is the road that leads to righteousness." Our good deeds are seen as dirty rags without the atonement and rebirth from accepting Jesus into your heart.
- This series has many, many, many accounts of rpe in it. apparently if you are an inny and not an outy downstairs there is a good chance that we will hear your account of rpe. It's not entirely graphic but enough to disgust you and if you have been through that it may bring some unwanted emotions
- There is enough sexuality in this book that I would not want my wife to hear me listening to it. I feel like it would make me uncomfortable. Surprisingly and sadly there is foul language as well. I was annoyed about that, what was really annoying is he kind of just threw it in there. it obviously could have been other words but I guess the series wasn't spicy enough without it.
- This series is the epitome of shock and awe. To keep your attention it goes through accounts that will disgust you, twang your heart strings, and genuinely break your heart for certain characters. I can listen to violent accounts pretty well. However, the stories of child sacrifice, rpe, torture, sexual abuse. kind of got ridiculous. it is the end times and it will be brutal and I plead with you to have a personal relationship with Jesus before you take your final breath, but this story is just to much.

- Lastly, there are way to many people. It's so hard to keep track. the robot voice does not help, but there are stories about random people and then main characters and I have had to go back and forth multiple times to remember who was who.
