A forgotten place from a forgotten time, this contract shall test them all. After the events of the Irondell Plague, Angela Dragos is back at doing what she does best, with her partner Jacob Tepes finally recovering from the wounds he'd sustained. But now a new contract has come to the Black Hand, one whose offer comes not from counts or chiefs, but of two runaway children. When it becomes apparent that the Empire seeks them, they ask to be taken to a lost Nisthgúlian village high in the mountains to spread their mother's ashes. Their long and perilous journey will test not only their trust in one another, but also their very strength to battle the evil forces lurking hidden in the mountains; a force in which will push Angela Dragos to her limit. Can they all work together to complete their contract and save their jeopardized souls from one who stalks the high peaks of Stonehollow, or will they too be lost like the village of old?
