The Rise of a Narco Empire: CJNG

Cartel Jalisco New Generation (CJNG) is considered by Mexican and U.S. authorities as one of the most dangerous crime syndicates in the world at par with the Sinaloa Cartel one of their fierce rivals in Mexico. CJNG is an extremely violent group based in the Mexican state of Jalisco headed by Nemesio Oseguera Cervantes, aka “El Mencho” one of the world’s most wanted drug lords. This organization is involved in drug trafficking, firearms smuggling, kidnappings, extortion, murders, petroleum theft, human trafficking, racketeering, money laundering and many other criminal offenses. They are militarized with high end weaponry equipped with machineguns and rocket-propelled grenades (RPG) that once brought down a Mexican military helicopter. CJNG has shown to be a national security threat to Mexico and the United States. This is the rise of a brutal and vicious drug empire that shows no mercy to their enemies and wants to expand their reach all over the region at any cost.
