Resumen del Editor

Did Jesus of Nazareth really intend to start a brand-new religion called Christianity? Or did he come to fulfill that which all of the Hebrew prophets had foretold since the fall of man, something the holy scriptures mysteriously call the restitution of all things?

Veteran journalist and author Joseph Farah seeks to shed light on what few sermons today teach about, few authors expound upon, and few Bible studies explore: the coming kingdom of God. This book is a primer on the Hebrew roots of the Christian faith that reveals a new appreciation of the work Jesus did on the cross and will answer such questions as why is there so much focus in the prophecy world on events leading up to the return of Jesus and so little about what follows?

Using scriptures almost exclusively as a resource, Farah will amaze most Christians with a clear picture of what the coming kingdom of God will be like. Prophetic scriptures and many others closely matching the conditions of today's world make a compelling case that we may be nearing this very special and long-prophesied time, a time of great hope but also of great deception.

This book is a deeply thought-provoking analysis of that which every Christian believer looks forward to with hope and with awe.

You're not a Theologian

Galatians 4:8-11 ...you are turning back to those weak and worthless principles... Romans 14:2-6 ...One person regards a certain day above the others, while someone else considers every day alike....

The value of the Sabbath, clearly presented

Thought-provoking and makes the case well and thoroughly without writing a huge tome, but far less powerfully than it could have. How is that?

The one objection is it would be better received and understood by all possible parties by using a good modern translation, perhaps the New Living Translation? They could broaden the realistic impact with a second such edition.

The narrator read it as well as one could hope for (bravo!) BUT the KJV's archaic thees, thous, and verbs quaintly ending in "est" & "eth", and the equally (but arguably less important) archaic sentence structure, gives the message an air of quaint, dated mustiness, dulling the edge of the call.

"For example, if the trumpet doesn’t sound a clear call, who will get ready for battle?" I Cor 14:8

Roots of Faith

As believers in Christ we should always seek the truth. This is especially true when we look at church history and it’s fallibility. Very deep dive and attack at the traditions of men that shape our current world. Be bereans and test everything!

Get with the program

Didn’t find much grace within this book. The church over the last 2000 years has had a myriad of issues. Hence the epistles in NT. I agree with the majority of what author says. But he ignores that church history is a story of the Spirit working despite the church. People are coming to Christ every generation. The world has been changed greatly by the giving and sacrifice of Christians with bad theology. It would be great to return to 7th day sabbath. But I for one am not going to alienate Myself from believers because they worship on Sundays. It reveals God’s glory that he can use people with such a pagan influence. It’s like Joseph clothed in the in pagan Egyptian garb reconciles his brother’s to the father through the beloved son that’s at the right hand of the father.

I knew I was missing something

I knew that I was missing something crucial with all the Christian teachings of the church. This has helped understand why I felt that way. Thank you for the clarification I needed.

Once saved always saved?

A book everyone should read because what a lot of Christians believe is not so, why would you cruise through this life thinking you have salvation, then when it's too late you discover you fell short. I recommend you listen to or read this book and then pick up that dusty Bible and reread it like your eternal life depended on it.

Great book & narrator

Lots of interesting information I had not ever consider. Loads of scripture to back it up. It will, at a minimum, make you think or even make you change your worship.
