The author offers up plenty of her own comic online dating life - including showing up for jury duty to find that the prosecutor was a past online date. She decided she needed her own Sex and the City group of girlfriends and emailed other women on the same dating website to form a supportive group in their beachside Florida city. As one of her dates laughingly complained, "You're unionizing!"
After online dating for over a year, the author wanted to shout it from the rooftops to the women trudging through the online dating world: "It's not you, it's online dating!"
