Was a good overall plot.

The virtual narration was horrible. There was no emotional inflection in anything so the story came off as flat. A better narration would have made this all the better.

Virtual voice

I enjoyed the storyline. However, I almost gve up after chapter one. I hate the virtual voice narration!
There is no distinction between characters. Ther is no emotion from the voice. Also, I noticed many mispronounced words such as “bugler” for burglar; “plums” for plumes”. Unfortunately there many more. Granted, these are examples from another book narrated by virtual voice. Please. go back to humans. Narration is key to njoying an audio book.

terrible ai

I loved the story and the actual book, but the virtual voice was terrible. Pronunciation was off, didn't like there was no difference between characters. Some timing was weird in sentences.

I can read, so what’s the point of an AI narrator?

We don’t listen to audiobooks for a monotonous narration that is missing voice distinction between characters. The same voice for every character is just reading the book out loud and lacks a voice actor skill in narrating a book.

I did not finish listening to this free audiobook using virtual narration. I have limited insight to the story outside my initial interest was piqued, but then not held with the narrator choice.
