Resumen del Editor

It starts with handling one tough assignment...

...Then you take on another one and another. According to Marvin Davis, "No one ever expects to get into crisis management. But once you do, there's an exhilaration that comes from seeing an unhealthy business become profitable again." Administratively, Marvin Davis has been involved with companies in the management and direction of turnaround situations and in the reorganization, planning and implementing of programs that guided operations from large losses to extreme profitability. His special areas of expertise include instituting new financial programs, systems and procedures; new export/ import company development: manufacturing organizations management; acquisitions and/or sales of unprofitable ventures, and in marketing program system implementations. Marvin has helped design financial controls, created models for evaluating strategic plan controls, and engaged in financial planning and capital project justification. His personal warmth, honesty, and no-nonsense approach to making changes on the bottom-line provide him with the winning combination for success in his field. Added to this, is Davis' formula for "doing more with less and maximizing all your resources well." Among those resources are people, materials, and money. And perhaps the key to his philosophy and success is Davis' belief in people as the number one asset in business. He believes in constant and honest communication among all people in an organization. And he truly practices this by talking to and placing value on everyone's input - from the top to the bottom of the company. Today, Davis is a member of the crisis-management firm of Grisanti, Galef and Goldress. They serve companies in virtually all industries with revenues ranging from $5 million to $1 billion. Davis lives in Atlanta with his wife and two children. And he has a wonderful sense of humor.
