The Princess' Bodyguard

Having convinced her father to let her inherit the throne rather than marry her off, Shiori now needs to obtain the Elemental blessings at the five temples situated all around the country. This endeavor turns out to be more complicated than anticipated, what with continuing her studies, navigating the relationships between her peers and fighting the social divides that exist between the nobility and the citizens, Shiori sure has her work cut out for her. That’s without the pressure of ensuring the council recognises her capabilities of becoming their next leader.

In order to allow Shiori to safely carry out the rituals, her father selects an outstanding new recruit as her personal bodyguard, unknowingly bringing his daughter closer to her secret crush. As if that were not enough, people start disappearing mysteriously and Mount Hiyama erupts, casting ash clouds over the country and rendering many people homeless.

As she struggles to find a solution, Shiori’s feelings for Shinji continue to grow stronger, even though she knows full well that he would never be accepted in her social circles as anything more than her bodyguard. Will Shiori be able to find a solution to all her problems with the limited knowledge she has of the country she is now to be a princess to?
