Acerca de esta escucha

Fifteen years have passed since the devastating war between the Galt Empire and the cities of the Khaiem, in which the Khaiem's poets and their magical power known as "andat" were destroyed, leaving the women of the Khaiem and the men of Galt infertile. The emperor of the Khaiem is trying to form a marriage alliance between his son and the daughter of a Galtic lord, hoping the Khaiem men and Galtic women will produce a new generation to help create a peaceful future. But Maati, a poet who has been in hiding for years and is driven by guilt over his part in the disastrous end of the war, defies tradition and begins training female poets. With Eiah, the emperor's daughter, helping him, he intends to create andat and to restore the world to how it was before the war. As the prospect of peace dims under the lash of Vanjit's new andat, Maati and Eiah try to end her reign of terror. But time is running out for both the Galts and the Khaiem.

Reseñas de la Crítica

"Abraham shies away from the blood and swashbuckling of the previous novels, instead telling a tale of forgiveness and catharsis that concludes this complex saga with mixed notes of sadness and hope." ( Publishers Weekly)

this kept getting better and better and better. The first book hooked you in second book was good. third book was fantastic. Why the fourth book is what I was thinking and a fourth book was just a climax of climax. you didn't think it could get better than three and then you got fourth. and the the pros in this is just what's ridiculous. some amazing, amazing work. one of the best fiction fantasy stories I've ever read. it's up there.

I love his writing. Plot characters. Themes. All four books in the series were worth the read.

Great series

If you stuck it out until the last novel, this one is the best. The writing by book four has finally come into its own. I still think the poses are not done well (never describes what people actually look like when they do poses), but they are fine in this novel or maybe you just get used to it. There are a few weak spots here and there but I think overall the characters are not corny and the plot is interesting, which I think books one and two suffer from. Ultimately, if you have read 1-3, definitely read 4.

Best of the Series

My soul hurts because this series ended. I could devour another 10 or more.

Simply amazing.

Very dynamic characters, perfect naration, original storytelling. I would recomend the whole series to anyone, not just those interested in fantasy.

The whole series was excellent
