By 2047, no crime in America goes unsolved. No wrongdoing goes unseen.
When Dray Quintero learns his nineteen-year-old daughter Raven committed a heinous act, he covers it up to save her life. This pits him against the police he's respected since he was a child and places him in the crosshairs of Kieran, a ruthless federal Agent. To survive, Dray must overcome the surveillance system he helped build and the technology implanted in people's heads, for everyone has a microcomputer in their brain and computer-screen lenses in their eyes.
Forced to turn to a domestic terrorist group to protect his family--as they're the only ones willing to fight the government--Dray tries to resist joining their cause but can't avoid it, for his adversaries have a level of control he's unable to escape. That no one can. Hunted and betrayed, with time running out, Dray must choose between saving Raven and dismantling the near-perfect society he helped create.
The Price of Safety is a fast-paced, non-stop ride that has drawn comparison to Minority Report and Black Mirror. Technological advancements keep coming every day. Bland lets you peek into our potential future, for better or for worse.

Exciting, Frightening Tale
This book is filled with heart, as well as gut wrenching twists and turns. Mixing with a not-so far from potential reality plot line, is a phenomenal read. You are hooked right away from non stop action and intensity. Can’t wait for the next installments!

Captivating story with realistic details!
Man, where do I start!? I briefly talked to the author at MegaCon Orlando, where he was tabling with his books about his trilogy. His banner behind him showcased his awards won and he had mentioned there were Audible & Kindle options for digital purchase. I didn't have the additional funds to purchase the physical book at the time (regretfully) and I also have a busy work schedule where I drive all over with no time to sit and read so I took a bookmark with the audiobook QR code options. I just finished a trip to the FL Panhandle and back from Central FL (a 6hr drive there, 12hrs round trip) so what better time to listen? I was told the narrator was going to be really good but I'm blown away by how well done this entire Audible book is!! It's incredibly well written with details about the science methods, tools, and instruments mentioned, the narrator doesn't go overboard with the various accents of other characters but still as this phenomenal range of balance to keep them distinctive, it's so creative and refreshing to read a futuristic government corruption plot that isn't too fantasy (but actually makes you think how something like this COULD happen in real time), and I feel I can really understand these characters, their purpose, and their reasoning for their actions. I'm hooked! I just downloaded the 2nd book and I can't wait for the 3rd to be available!! I told my boyfriend all about it and he's going to give it a listen too. I'll definitely be telling my book-loving friends to put this on their list. Thank you for this captivating story!

The Price is Right and Safety First!
This is a fun read with a lot of twists and turns throughout the book. This is an imaginative story with a lot of heart, sci-fi, and action. I enjoyed the variety of characters as they endured, died, and changed. I thought the actor did a great job voicing the characters and energizing the story. I cannot wait to complete the trilogy.

Prepare to be captivated, enthralled, and challenged!
Overall, "The Price of Safety" is a thought-provoking and gripping tale that will appeal to fans of dystopian fiction and political thrillers alike. Michael Bland's expert storytelling combined with the excellent production values make this audiobook a must-listen for anyone craving a suspenseful and intellectually stimulating adventure.
One of the most compelling aspects of this story is its exploration of timely themes such as government surveillance, the erosion of civil liberties, and the ethics of self-preservation. Michael doesn't shy away from asking difficult questions or presenting morally ambiguous characters, which adds layers of depth to the story and keeps listeners engaged from start to finish.
The audiobook's production quality is top-notch. The reader's skillful delivery brings each character to life, making it easy for listeners to become emotionally invested in their journey.
