I learned a lot!

I enjoyed this book, and learned a great deal. Which is one of my favorite things to be able to say about a book.

One proviso; not a complaint… it is just a fact of life in telling certain history. The author has to say several times she cannot provide, or has to assume details because documentation simply does not exist.

That said, she is obviously well versed in her subject matter, and is making educated assumptions. I learned many things I did not know about the pirate life and life in general for the time period.

This book is definitely worth your time!

An easy listening book showing the other side of the celebrated pirates and the more commonly told stories.

An excellent account of Sarah Kidd

The crooked politics of the time, repeats itself today sadly. A pyrate i will choose!

Interesting bit of history

I love history and this increased my understanding of both privacy and the plight of women without property rights in the colonies. Interesting and sad.

Mediocre at best

I was excited to listen, but some of the information contradicts the better researched and more complete “The Pirate Hunter.” It was somewhat interesting to see the perspective of Sarah Kidd, but there is not much new here.

Rey boring

The story had no excitement like a high school history book. Kept waiting for something interesting to happen.
