Insects come from nowhere to literally rain on them in their home, and heavy objects are seen to move through space.

Good Collection of Reported True Ghost Stories

I really like original and true ghost stories. I have listened to a few different styles of true account tellings and this one was middle of the road. My favorite so far are the stories from Ed and Loraine Warren because they provided much more information about the hauntings and even went into the resolution. This was more just about the hauntings themselves and told from a here are the facts type of telling versus a campfire ghost story telling. While this comes off as these are completely real I feel quite a few of them every town has as their urban legend.
Pam Dougherty did a great job narrating the story and I would be happy to listen to more stories told by her.

Revisit the Ghosts of Dixie

I truly enjoyed reading through this book! Hans Holzer takes you on some of his investigations through the heart of Dixie, recounting some of the strange occurances and different hauntings that have plagued the people of these states for quite some time.

There is one case that goes longer than the others, due to the ongoing and terrifying nature of the phenomena, but it was interesting to read through.

Loved this book!

Enjoyable even though I don’t believe

Nor do I know the south very well but I did enjoy the stories nonetheless.

An excellent read

I knew Hans Ozark was a celebrity ghost expert from the 50s and 60s. So when I seen his book I was so excited to listen to it and I was not disappointed. I love anything to do with history including historical ghost. These ghosts are not necessarily historical but from the time they were written until now makes them historical there’s a really good stories going from each southern state to another I need story better than the last. I think if you were more into modern ghost stories and gotcha entertainment maybe this isn’t for you if you are into real ghost stories I want to hear true accounts read this book it’s excellent!

Not For Me

I really wanted to like this collection of true ghost stories. I kept waiting for the stories to become compelling, scary, spooky or even just a little bit creep-inducing. But they never got there. This is some of the driest 'true paranormal' material I've ever come across. That said, Pam Dougherty delivers a performance that almost makes it worth it. I wouldn't recommend this collection to my friends, there is much more interesting 'true' paranormal content out there.
