People meditate, heal, analyze, practice, read, surrender, transcend, and improve. And still, beneath it all, the same question remains unanswered: Who am I, really?
What most traditions agree upon is this: awakening is not a matter of becoming more, but of seeing through what you are not. Yet much of contemporary spirituality subtly reinforces the very illusion it claims to dissolve — the idea that you are a person who must become better, purer, more conscious, or more enlightened.
This book takes a different approach.
It begins from a simple, uncompromising premise: Enlightenment is not an experience, an insight, or a state of mind. It is the direct knowing of what you are.
From that premise, everything else follows.
The purpose of this book is not to create another path, but to clarify the paradox that has always existed at the heart of every authentic path: there appear to be many ways up the mountain, yet there is ultimately no path to what you already are.
If this book succeeds, it will not give you a new identity, belief system, or spiritual project. It will gently undermine the need for one.
