Through with living a life of deception, he doffs his disguise and vows to live alone, but shortly into his life of solitude he meets Sir Beronius, a disgraced Paladin afflicted with lycanthropy, doomed to murder innocents by the light off the full moon. Thrilled with the prospect of making a friend, Vindin vows to help Sir Beronius find a cure for his affliction and they set off to find the one who cursed him, believing that killing him would break the spell.

Along the way, they meet a roguish prince named Conlin, and a prodigal wizard named Avidrea, and together they journey to the faraway land of Pyrones seeking a cure for the paladin’s curse.

Unexpected Delight

The story started off one way and then took off in a different direction. Each step of the journey added a new and interesting, well-developed character. I enjoyed the bond of friendships and the plot. The choice of virtual voice was bearable. I’m glad there’s a second book.
