Very nostalgic

Remember reading this in school and the nostalgia from it definitely hit hard. I remember how bad i felt for the characters thru out the book.

If you could sum up The Old Willis Place in three words, what would they be?

Freaky, layered, tear-jerker

What did you like best about this story?

It was such a surprising story. At first I was like,"Ok. I already know what's up with these kids you read about. This is going to be lame if its centered around figuring this out."

But just keep listening. It is and yet isn't at all what you think. I cried hard at the end. It's so shocking in a good way and... I don't want to give anything away... Such a great story. I have read another one of this authors books (Wait til Helen Comes) and that was good too.

I love the uniqueness of this book. I've never read anything like it, ESP with the ending. Just listen and you will know what I mean. I never write reviews but I had to for this one. Well done, Mary Hahn. I'm definitely going to read the rest of her books.

I loved this book as a kid, and still love it now. Definitely a top fav.

Unimaginable

You will know the story is really good if it awakens so much emotions in you.

When I realized, before the revelation, that Georgie and Diana were actually dead, my heart sank. That explains why they never get cold, hungry, or thirsty. I literally wonder how do they eat.

This is so heartbreaking. What a tragic fate for the 2 children.

Came back to it after 15 years

Read this in grade school around 2009 . It stuck with me so much that as an adult now(24) I picked it up on audible to hear it again. Just as good as my young mind recalled.
