If you die in your nightmare, will you die in real life? What if there was some kind of entity, not of this world, who could enter your nightmare and take your life? Imagine that your nightmare is an intrusion into another dimension and your presence causes physical harm to that dimension’s natural resident. If that entity fought back to defend its home from the intruders, would you say it was wrong? Everyone has the right to defend their home. Using the intruders’ nightmares as weapons against them is smart and effective. Sometimes killing is the only way to protect yourself and your home.
Self is defending its home in the only manner available to it. Self is defending itself. Roxanne has the same ability to enter the nightmares of others. She can intervene in the events and make the horrors of someone’s nightmares end making the dreams peaceful. But when Self is working against the dreamer, Roxanne has more of a fight on her hands than she bargained for. Self is defending its home. Roxanne is protecting the dreamers. Self won’t listen to excuses and won’t stop protecting its home. Roxanne’s options are dwindling and Self will not stop.
