Playwright/performer Charlayne Woodard is a force of nature, and in The Night Watcher she finds a new way to explore her "mother" nature. Woodard describes her life as half of a childless couple, finding herself mysteriously drawn to second-hand parenting. A series of great stories
2nd one I enjoyed. She does a number of suitable voices as she dramatically tells the story of children she's known and participated in raising. The child she nearly adopted thanks to Alfre Woodard, the demands of a spoiled child, a baby's baptism, a pregnant teenager..... everything is funny and delightful.
