vivid writing style

a lot of the kind of information you never read in school history books. A lot more information than ever appears in the mass media. all interesting all important.

Halberstram wrote one too many books.

Overly dramatic narration. Historically wrong. Ended in 1990 with Japan economically ruling world. oops. Japan went into 20 years of near recession.
