The performance was excellent.

I have always enjoyed the break neck action and attention to detail. It reminds me of the Scarecrow novels by Reilly.

Good Story Telling

Liked the story but not the flash back moments. Needed stay in the present time.

Nice story with historical memories.

The narrator is amazing. I listen to him on some other books, and he does such an outstanding job. The book itself is an interesting story about life after service that he continues to haunt good book will look for the next episode, when released.

A bit so Gated, Gated Community.

A very entertaining story. Espionage that escalates into action & violence right inside a peaceful & quiet gated community. Clever use of language adds a smile & appealing characters make for an all round enjoyable and well written story.

it was hard to stop listening!

this was really a good book and it was hard to stop listening because it kept me interested and I really like the plot of the story. it was very well written and the narrator did a great job.

Better than expected!!

This is a great story and it is performed well. It far exceeded my expectations and I’m glad I gave it a chance. Great action, unexpected heroes and plenty of plot twists.

Never Disappoints

You can’t dip your toes in a Matthew Betley book. It is all in from word one. A great cast of characters. A triller but fresh. Every single word builds to the finish and left me wanting a sequel to read now. Love his books!

I can easily picture The Neighborhood as a blockbuster action thriller film in the very near future. Betley crafted this standalone from his Logan West series with the same vigor and vitality that he is known for in his Logan West series. Action-packed, intense, and full of twist and turns, readers are treated to Betley’s great writing, strong character development, and exhilarating plot and storyline. Protagonist Zack Chambers, a former CIA elite operator, warrants his own series after this narrative. Working as a software developer now and living in an affluent gated subdivision, Chambers senses something wrong when the local police show up unexpectedly and starts evacuating the entire upscale neighborhood citing a nearby train wreck with toxic fumes. However, there was no chemical spill, nor were the police real police officers. Chaos ensues with the shooting of a resident and Chambers with some help, ultimately takes on a band of violent mercenaries who were there to retrieve a laptop hidden in one of the posh homes that contained some super important information that could change the world! Exhilarating. Entertaining. Humorous. Invigorating. The Neighborhood is one electrifying thriller! I highly recommend it. Two thumbs up Matthew Betley! Great read!

The narration and the plot. It's not your typical spy thriller but it hits all the marks you expect from one nonetheless!

I love George Newburn's voice as narrator. That's the only reason I started the book, and the plot did not disappoint. Thus book is begging to be made into a movie
