Acerca de esta escucha
This workbook offers the tools and techniques to support those in recovery from addiction and/or healing from post-traumatic stress disorder who live with symptoms of: anger, fear, anxiety, depression, insomnia, and flashbacks.
The Mindfulness Approach to Health Behaviour Change (MATHC) takes the listener through a six stage experiential process that delves into the intricate landscape of change theory and therapeutic strategies to aid the transformative process. Each chapter is designed to inform and offers evidence based psychological models and mindfulness practice along with real life stories from a mother and daughter's reflections through the lens of Joseph Campbell's mono mythic tale of the hero's journey as they work through each stage that takes them from victims to survivors of their own empowering stories.
This book can be worked at your own pace, breaking change into a manageable process that can be revisited and reworked, thereby promoting the psychological reorientation required to align the new health behaviour identity of self, within a successful empowered updated story of who you are.
Helping the listener:
- Engage in new activities that enhance the brain's cognitive function.
- Live in the present moment of Mindfulness.
- Stop the autopilot response to feelings and emotional triggers.
- Experience congruency within core beliefs and personal identity in supporting the new strength-based behaviour changes.
- How to utilise the joy of good stress.
- The tools to build a sustainable lifestyle that maintains the new changes.
