42 min?!?

Would you try another book from the authors and/or the narrators?

no, I don't wanna get anything else from the guy who writes books I can finish on my way from home to work (one way). If I knew it's only 42 min I would think twice. I am listening to

Loop music

The looped music underneath the voice is distracting throughout. Drop the looped music and let the story speak for itself

Truly awful

What could have made this a 4 or 5-star listening experience for you?

Where to start... um, if it were actually formatted in some cogent way (this is NOT a book, it is merely snippets of interviews). The entire thing lasted about 40 minutes, which is not a book it's a PAMPHLET. It was NOT an audio biography, as it claims, but rather loosely thrown together bits of audio with no chronology, no purpose and no autobiographical detail. AND behind the spoken words there was a guitar loop which lasted THE ENTIRE DAMN BOOK. The whole thing was utter junk and completely misrepresented by the title. It's only interviews with ONE BAND MEMBER, and all from a single session!

What could the authors have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

Nothing. This junk has no reason to be an audiobook.

Who would you have cast as narrator instead of the narrators?

Doesn't matter in this case.

If you could play editor, what scene or scenes would you have cut from The Metallica Story?

I would have cut everything.

Just call this what it is: an interview with Lars from Metallica. Calling it an audiobiogrpahy is a flagrant misrepresentation. Please refund me my credit.

Mehtallica Story

I am a huge Metallica fan. Have been since the mid 80s. This interview-style format was terrible. The interviewer would constantly interrupt Lars to ask another question, like he was in a hurry and needed to be somewhere else, or he would interject his own answer to the question. Let’s talk about the whiny guitar and drums snippet on loop in the background for ENTIRE interview. Just awful. I walked out knowing less about Metallica than I did going in. One positive was getting to hear Lars speak and hearing his Danish accent slip out here and there.
