In this book I'm going to deal with what magick is, I'm going to go into why magick works when you actually perform a ritual, of course it does involve spirits and it does involve supernatural powers but there is another reason. If you notice that the more intention you have towards the ritual, the more effective it is, so there is an individual component in every single ritual. In many ways Aliester Crowley was right to say "Do What though wilt shall be be whole of the law" but I'm going to say, yes, unabashed individualism is fine, but it's unabashed individualism within the collective and we have to remember that. No man is an island and those who persecute you are also part of you.

We will discuss individuality, embracing of the dark side, being present in life. We will discuss how formality in magick is actually destroying it and making it harder for people to perform it. We discuss the dangers of making magick a form of escapism and of self-aggrandizement. You will learn about embracing your individuality. You will also learn how group consciousness affects your magick. I will also get a bit more personal about some of my own life experiences. With that, let us begin.

The manner in which he conveys knowledge of the occult is truly impressive. It's most effective yet simple to follow.

I loved this book because of all the hard truths within it. Much of what is taught within the pages are issues I've tried to teach to others along my magickal journey. I'm SO happy to hear someone else teaching the truth of it all.

The narration is easy to understand, and the book isn't so long that you want to start falling asleep.

I thoroughly enjoy all of Baal's books and I'm so happy that I've added this one to my library as well.

Wonderful reminder to be mindful

I loved this book as it really drew attention to the true power of Mindfulness. I do not think this book is for beginners; it assumes you have experience with mindfulness and some experience with magick already. But for intermediate occultists, this book is truly invaluable.

The book is way to short and does not say very much unfortunately, leaving too much unsaid. The whole book was like the foreword of a much more comprehensive book.
