Resumen del Editor

A cave deep in the Judean desert. A 2000-year-old list. Tantalising clues that Jesus Christ wrote a prophetic testament. The discovery galvanises the world. Does the testament still exist? If so, what will be revealed if it is unearthed? Within hours, scholars, fortune tellers, religious groups and reporters are searching for the testament. Among them are Michael Farber, leading international biblical scholar, and Judith Abramovich, an Israeli archaeologist.

Before long Michael and Judith must contend with the machinations of Jimmy Wilson, an American charismatic evangelist with his own reasons for wanting the testament, and Daniel Rhymer, special envoy from the Vatican, who fears for the future of his religion if the testament is ever found.

Don't waste your money on this

I've always enjoyed stories with archeological background and biblical history as context. The story regarding the finding of a testiment possibly written by Jesus sounded interesting. The example listen sounded good so I bought the book. All went well until the narrator had to read as a southern penticostal minister. Not only is the author clearly using the worst characture of a penticostal minister possible, the narrator couldn't come up with a southern accent that was even remotely plausable. His basic american accent wasn't much better either and when reading the american Pope, left me thinking of a sleazy used car salesman.

I was so put off but the dialogue, characterization of the minister and church members, and the dreadful tortured southern and american accents that I nearly put the book down and didn't finish it. But as I'd spent a perfectly good credit for the book I persevered. The story was ok but the ending left one hanging. I would definately not recommend this book to any one and please, if you need a narrator to do a southern and or american accent please don't use this narrator.
