This is a different variation of Elizabeth and Darcy. Elizabeth's father has passed and she is now responsible for the running of Longbourn. Elizabeth wants to manage the tenants issues,but drainage problems and crops rotation has left her needing assistance from another with experience. Darcy's steps in to offer her a partnership to work together. He respects her independence and love blooms. It's was nice to read where someone respected Elizabeth as a women and land owner instead of him taking charge.
