Prior has woven an incredible wealth of interviews, research, and his own story to express where we are, scientifically and socially, in regards to infection-associated illnesses and what a bright future will bring (including progress through closer collaboration between patients, researchers, and doctors.)

A story that needs to be told and just the person to tell it. This book hit on every critical detail necessary to understand the landscape and history of neglect as well as all the key studies that paint a picture of this disease in a digestible way. He deeply understands the patient experience and is able to convey it.
