Not bad at all!

I love an Australian author so I was very primed to enjoy this, and I mostly did. Things I didn’t love so much were the slightly overly long periods of self indulgent time the main protagonist spent in his own head during the first 10 chapters, and the heavy use of surfing terms. A tighter edit might have helped but since the first dropped off once more characters became involved it became less of an issue anyway.

The story itself was a perhaps a bit flimsy, and it wasn’t hard to work out “who dunnit” and why, but I’d definitely read another book by the same author.
