Nick Farrant's The Light Between Us is, quite simply, one of the most terrifying and thought-provoking horror novels I've read in years. This book doesn't just deliver scares; it burrows deep under your skin, leaving you stunned and deeply reflective long after you've turned the final page.
From the very beginning, Farrant crafts an atmosphere of palpable dread. The story of Jacob and Hannah being thrust into the heart of the paranormal phenomenon is masterfully paced, escalating from unsettling moments to truly frightening scenarios. The narrative has a chilling authenticity, in part because the author expertly weaves in genuine theories and ideas from the paranormal community. For fans of the subject, hearing these elements utilized in such a sophisticated way is an absolute joy. It gives the story an anchor in the "real" world, making the supernatural intrusions all the more visceral.
What sets this book apart is its brilliant tapestry of perspectives. Impeccable descriptions, compelling characters, and very engaging. Would highly recommend. It had me on the edge of my seat the whole ride.

Good First Book

A decent first showing for the author. I don't generally read this genre but it was recommended so I gave it a try. Overall I liked it, had some interesting ideas throughout that I didn't expect. Good job! Looking forward to the next one!
