You are about to dig deeply into the life of the most famous and influential man of all time: Jesus Christ. In John 3: 3-5, the Apostle John records a dialogue between Jesus and Nicodemus, a Pharisee. Jesus explains what it means to be born again. Notice what Jesus tells this Pharisee in John 3: 5, "Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit." The pursuit of knowing Jesus is what the Apostle Paul shared when he studied the gospel with people. One of the most effective ways to study the life of Christ is to break it down into themes. This method is what Paul, the apostle, has done in First Corinthians.
Please note that in 1 Corinthians 15: 1-4, whenever Paul taught about the life of Christ and shared the good news, he focused on three fundamental ideas, ensuring that people understood each one. He wrote: "Now, brothers and sisters, I want to remind you of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and on which you have taken your stand. By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, and then to the Twelve."
Are you born again, or do you desire to be born again? Either way, this book is for you. We all have a limited time on this earth, and God wants everyone to repent and know the truth. He also loves us more than we can know. Want to be challenged and grow in your relationship with God? This book is for you.
