Went absolutely nowhere

I love the Midnight Library by the same autor so thought I'd enjoy The Life Impossible. The nattion was good but the story was long, needlessly drawn out and never really accompoished much of anything. Wish I had taken a pass!

The narrator’s voice turned into music to my ears!

At first I disliked the slow start and in the 1st 5 min was going to ditch. I am so so glad I didn’t! Otherwise I would have missed the most amazing tale narrated by the sweetest narrator. You’ll be thinking about this one long after you’ve finished. Perhaps I’ll even dream about it tonight. Wow what a concept!

Surprisingly just what I needed

This was a beautiful story with a lot of texture.. it felt very comforting and insightful and just the right amount of mystical .. I loved it!

Ahhhhhhh!

Now my favorite book (it used to be The Midnight Library)! Such an incredibly inspiring story filled with every wonder and love I’ve ever had from aliens to the great healing of Mother Earth, reminding us to viva por mi! Haig is a brilliant writer. My life will never be the same.

Absolutely Entrancing!

I could not put it down! I would sit for hours at a time not able to turn this book off. All the characters are full and alive and I will miss Grace and the others. This is a must listen. Treat yourself and buy it!

Accents problematic

This is an amazing story with characteristic Matt Haig magic and poignance. I love the main character’s accent, but the narrator doesn’t do a Spanish accent plausibly. There’s something Yiddish/Russian/Polish/Boston/New York/Borat about those accents. The personality and cadence is often brilliant, but not in Spain. Seems reasonable to hire a Spanish person to do that part.

What’s the Connection?

A lovely, perspective-changing book about the invisible links between all things. The author, Matt Haig, writes so beautifully from the perspective of a woman - well done, him! And Ms. Lumley performs the reading with equal amounts of sensitivity and marvel. The connections are everywhere and to everything.

Immensely enjoyable

I really enjoyed the narrator’s presentation. The storyline is so lovely and fascinating to entertain. I found the storyline and underlying message to be thought provoking as well as just lovely. It is very touching and quite enjoyable!

The Universe spoke!

Loved the story and the performance - perfect person to read the book. If you feel stuck and know there is much more to life than what you’re experiencing - then I encourage you to read and enjoy this book!

Quite a Journey

Matt Haig is a storyteller extraordinaire. I don’t read his stories, I live them. I can’t wait to see where he’ll take me next! He never disappoints.
