Compiled by Geoffrey of Monmouth in the twelfth century and edited by Sir James Knowles in the nineteenth, these stories begin with Merlin’s prophecies of Arthur’s birth. Knowles’s 1862 edition, dedicated to Alfred Tennyson, returned Arthur to cultural prominence, where he’s reigned ever since as a symbol of leadership, loyalty, and moral values.

Very good

Very easy to listen to. The book was entertaining I enjoyed it very much. I listened to it several times.

Cursory

Heavy on the fighting while lacking in the story. It’s mostly a list of battles complete with play by plays.

For 9 year old boys

I am not, nor have I ever been, a 9-year-old boy. Therefore, there is absolutely no way I can ever find these tales enjoyable. It's unfortunate, but, alas, just not meant to be.
