The Left’s Little Red Book on Forming a New Green Republic uses the actual words of the Left to tell the story of how the Left, since the 1930s, has preached concern for the environment as a subterfuge to attack capitalism and advance socialism. By manipulating two words, “green” and “red,” the Left paints its movement as a force for protecting the environment. At the same time, it lobbies for repressive laws that limit freedom by advancing socialism. The Left corrupts words to hide a lust to control people.

In the name of environmental protection, the Left advocates for eliminating fossil fuels, limiting resources available for manufacturing, restricting farming and cattle, control over food, water and student education, that truth can be manipulated for the right cause, and that humans must go to save the planet. If enacted, its policies would harm the very people it claims to benefit.

George Orwell noted, “Political language…is designed to make lies sound truthful…and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.” Thus, necessity often requires those seeking power over others to corrupt words, so people believe something other than the advocate’s true purpose.

The title alludes to Quotations from Chairman Mao Zedong, a book universally referred to as The Little Red Book. That book set forth simple quotes as truth, supported not by science or objective evidence but, rather, the words of a “self-appointed ruler.” Mao imposed his dogma on the masses to ensure correct political thinking.

The quotes in The Left’s Little Red Book on Forming a New Green Republic, like the quotes from Mao, reveal beliefs that are incompatible with free people. Like China under Mao, the Left’s dogma promotes the fantasy of a utopian society. At the same time, its actual words espouse hatred for humanity, a desire to destroy capitalism, and a lust to control people.

While most of us view Mao’s ideas in his “Little Red Book” as silly, we must remember ideas can spread, even silly ideas. Mao’s book is the second most read book in the world. Words and ideas matter. We need to understand what the Left is saying to know where it wants to take our nation. The Left’s Little Red Book on Forming a New Green Republic pierces the Left’s veil of manipulation by providing the reader with the actual words of the Left which clearly set forth a vision few Americans’ support.
