The Last Sacred Dark-Time

It has been a year since the events of "In The Land of My Enemy", and Dr. Philip Asher, along with his little traveling companion, now named "Joey", has been searching the most remote areas of the country searching for other clans of the mysterious, reclusive species originally discovered in the wilderness above the little West Virginia mountain town of Mitchellville. And in the never before explored tracts of Oregon they have stumbled upon a second group, who have never known the approach of the "monsters". But their pristine home is about to be invaded by human civilization and in order to keep them from being destroyed Dr. Asher must come up with nothing short of a miracle. This impossible task is even more complicated by the fact that Joey cannot communicate with this alien society, let alone warn them of their impending destruction. And time is running out, not only for this newly discovered clan, but for the tribe clinging to life on the other side of the country as well.
