An old '60s musician and his trim mama run a pot farm in the Emerald Triangle of northern California. They welcome an exonerated ex-con, a Las Vegas prostitute, a union organizer from the Bronx, an escapee of a sex slave cult, a retired carny with Parkinson’s disease, and an old Mississippi blues guitarist down on his luck. Together, they create a last resort, a modern version of home and family.

the last resort by emily gallo is a heartwarming story about a group of misfits becoming family on an expansive final chance ranch, or, last resort. it was a great story, filled with unique characters. read this book if you want to support an indie author, with a knack for rustic storytelling. i give this book 🦷🦷🦷🦷 four out of five teeth, because i wish there was more, but am happy with what i read this far
