He has found his home. Now he has to save it.

The dragon hatched only to be captured and paraded from town to town as a sideshow freak - easy money for his master. His existence is miserable and he is kept weak with hunger. Lack of food has bleached his scales, earning him the name: Whitestaff.
On the quiet nights, alone in his cage, Whitestaff hears voices calling to him, and he knows it's his kin trying to guide him home.
In his dreams he is a mighty beast that bursts from his prison to track down the rest of his kind. It's this wish alone that makes his days bearable.
One night, in a small town fair, a young girl pays the last of her gold coins to see the dragon. She's been gifted with magic and can speak to animals. Between them, they hatch a plot to set the dragon free and make Whitestaff's dreams come true.
Unwittingly, they set off a chain of events that lead to the Dragon Wars - a colossal clash between three races of winged beasts - with Whitestaff at its centre.

This is the first of a two-book series filled with friendship, action and bravery.
