Mike was on vacation at Carter Caves State Park in Kentucky, with his wife Kelly and their little girl Kimmy. It was the perfect vacation. There was no TV, no radio, no newspapers, and no cell phone reception. His brother John and his family were at home in Ligonier, Pennsylvania, trying to enjoy a quiet week at home. Thomas Bolten, Captain of the USS Ronald Reagan was on station in the South China Sea. He knew what was happening. But will knowing make it any easier for his ship to survive? The story follows the three groups as they struggle to understand and survive what will be their last days in the world they knew. Who can survive these last days?
