The Land of Blood and Whispers

My name is Dan Barnes, not that you give a damn. I’m going to let you in on one of life’s little secrets: Monsters are real. I’m also going to provide some advice: Never trust your own thoughts. They might not be your own. There are people out there with a rare degenerative condition that can only be cured with live human blood elements. Believe me, or don’t believe me, I don’t care. This would merely be a sad tale, except for one little thing. These folks can manipulate the human mind and persuade you to do anything, even murder. They’ll drain every drop of blood from your body, and you’ll never suspect a thing. These monsters will dominate America first, and then the rest of the world. They’ve already infested the worlds of advertising, religion, and politics. They are coming for you and your family next. I can resist them. Not many can. It’s up to me to stop the slaughter, but I don’t know if I have any fight left. Just go on with your happy ignorant lives, unaware of the war going on all around you. Hopefully, you will remain oblivious. That way, you’ll never know it when I fail you.
