Inspired by real events, The Lady of Lake Como follows the story of a lieutenant with the Italian police who, during the height of World War II, is tasked with investigating the unsettling disappearance of two women from his small town. Complicating matters, Ezio receives a detestable order from his superiors to arrest a Jewish man simply for the accident of his birth. Wish I could locate an historical event that inspired this story. I've looked it up and cannot find information on it.
The author badly overused the phrase "threw his lips upside-down". such an odd description of what I can only assume is a frown.
Interesting story, but because I prefer reading about true events but can't find anything on this, I felt unsure of the integrity.

The narrator did an excellent job with accents and using his voice to imply the various characters.
