What an incredible struggle!

Cassie and Silas are deeply in love but they have more than their fair share of tragedies and trials! I love the narrator's animation in this book! He really gives the characters a voice with emotion and feelings! Another winning book by Barbara! I don't know how she does it but she does it consistently! I highly recommend this audio book and any of her books!

Emjoyable

I enjoyed this story very much. The characters are well developed and the story flowed really well. I love that Cassie and Silas remained pure throughout thier courting. This is romance and suspense with some twists and turns in the plot that kept it interesting. The only reason I didn't give it five stars was because the shot was never explained that caused Cassie's accident.

The narrator did a good job on the book.

The best narrator I've heard yet

What did you love best about The Kissing Bridge: Cassie's Story?

Ohh this story was super juicy and had some really great surprises throughout. By far my favorite of the series as of now. The narrator really knocked it out of the park with his subtle but charming southern accent. I'm from the south and when I hear people try and use a southern accent, it gets old real fast. Garrett Whitehead's accent was so organic and natural, it really made me feel right at home.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I did listen to it in one sitting. The narrator made it so enjoyable with the different voices and accents he used throughout the story to really define the each character. I've listened to many other audio books and this narrator was by far the best reader I've heard in a long time. Hope to hear him do some other great books.

Can't wait to read what happens in the books to come. Thanks so much Barbara Goss for the lovely story and big thank you to Garrett Whitehead for keeping me company in my car for hours. You made this story really come to life!

This was another sweet western romance. I’m never disappointed with this author’s books. She continues to find new and interesting situations.

A very entertaining Western romance

Would you listen to The Kissing Bridge: Cassie's Story again? Why?

Yes. This is one of Ms. Goss' best. It held my interest from page one. It's a story of forever love that has romance, a bit of nail-biting suspense, great characters and is narrated by Garrett Whitehaed, who did a wonderful job.

What about Garrett L. Whitehead’s performance did you like?

Well done. I liked the bit of ''drawl'' that was used. It fit the characters.

What made the experience of listening to The Kissing Bridge: Cassie's Story the most enjoyable?

Garrett L. Whitehead is a refreshing voice in the whole historical western genre. I did not think I would like his accent the whole way through the story, BUT I was WRONG! He did a good job with characters and the pace of the story.

Which scene was your favorite?

I liked the whole section where the brothers reconciled. It was good to see how even through raw emotion, there can be forgiveness, but it must be a choice on both sides.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Yes, but it would give away the story. :)

Any additional comments?

Barbara Goss wrote a great book that had me laughing and wanting to throttle the main characters throughout. As I thought about it, The Kissing Bridge was a great story about how we as people really are and how our pride, self-protection, and lack of grace can keep us from the people and love that we so earnestly desire. Silas and Cassie both grow and learn what love and grace really are. I enjoyed this book not only as a fun story but also as a look at what life is like when it is filled with lies, distrust and what happens when you do not give the same amount of grace to people that God gives those who follow Him. This audible was given to me for an honest review.

Appreciated Everything but....

I love the clean story and good morals and story line, however the author obviously did this not consider the H.... word to be a word that should be avoided in a clean book. Other than that I appreciated the over all good morals of the book.

unexpected plot twists!

this book kept me guessing what was going to happen next! and the narrator did such a good job conveying the emotions of the characters! he even had separate voices for everyone that helped me keep up with the dialogue!!

The Kissing Bridge

Storyline was great, really entertaining and interesting.
Not sure if I'm a fan of the narrative, I found it very rushed at times and a little difficult to differentiate between scenes.
