I'm a huge fan of the books and the narrator but something about this one... just doesnt strike me. All of the rest of his books are an A plus. Performance is great but plot is kinda meh. Gotta have an off book for every series so I think it would be this one.

Keep bringing us Joe Ledger!!

I love these books! Joe Ledger is such a fantastic character. So full of life and action. I love his view of the world. He has been thrust into a world of impending disaster around every corner, and he handles it with perfect clarity and, well, action. This book has a far-reaching and reality stretching plot, but so have the previous two books in the series. Just great pacing and story telling here!

Ray Porter is so easy to listen to. I love his voices, and his delivery. An optimum choice for the voice of Ledger. I can't wait to get on to the next books in the series!

the narrator really brings an already incredible story to life. i completely recommend the joe ledger series to any reader who enjoys the military/spec ops read.

I like this series of novels starring smart ass super cop Joe Ledger. I'm not into detective or cop books so I can't compare it to any others so I'll just say it's like a James Bond, Jackie Chan mix action movie for your ears.

Maberry does it again! Another awesome volume in the saga that is joe ledger. Can't wait to start the next one. When is HBO gonna wise up and start a series?

The action keeps on going

The third of the Joe Ledger books by Jonathan Mayberry. This has been one of my favorite series that I have encountered lately, tightly written and completely engrossing. A delightful blend of SF, horror and action with a bit of detective work mixed in, it is sometimes hard to figure out where this book will lead you.

Joe is both the luckiest and unluckiest Department of Military Sciences employees. Lucky to be alive, but cursed with some of the worst events to occur during his watch. He has encountered zombies, genetic super-monsters, and had his girlfriend die in his arms. And this has all happened in less than a year. The novel picks up several months after the events of the Dragon Factory (there is a short story out there that details him working with his new furry partner Ghost taking down the man who killed Grace). It begins with the destruction of the London (gigantic London Hospital) in a massive terrorist event and it only gets worse.

The new villains of the series (looking to see more) appear to the be the un-before mentioned Seven Kings, which now includes a familiar villain as well. And their plot is devious.

Later in the novel Joe links up with Echo team, his psychologist buddy and a new female character on this wild ride. I cannot wait to crack open the next book!

great addition to the series of the Joe Ledger novels the narrator of these novels really makes the character of Joe Ledger come out alive and true able to feel see just what the character is doing got to love it

Very good, not as good as the first though.

There was a lot of politics involved in this issue, i don't know if these are the authors beliefs also, I don't think that this detracted from the story though. Would have to say that the political beliefs stated in the book were by the "evil" villains who wanted to rule the world. I thought it was quite appropriate that those beliefs stated were held by the people who wanted to destroy the world for their own gain. The beliefs weren't stated in a way that implied they were the correct ones, or even held by decent people. I only mention this because several other reviews stated that the political views turned them off from the story. Great story line.
