Thirty years later, he yearns for a more active social life. He puts an ad in the paper, and starts the Ruidoso Chess Club. The group enjoys years of meetings, and good friendships are formed. He starts to believe he can make a living winning Chess tournaments. A child with a doll tempers his lofty dreams. This book is based on a true story.
