P&P Murder mystery

The Indomitable Miss Elizabeth by Jennifer Joy was a fairly entertaining listen, though I found it a bit slow and hard to really get into. The murder didn't happen until after the 3 hour mark, and, well, I found myself getting easily distracted because the story wasn't holding my attention. Pride and Prejudice is one of my absolute favorites, so it wasn't like I didn't care for the characters or anything of the sort, and I've read other P&P variations over the years, so I'm surprised that I couldn't get into this one.

Nancy Peterson's narration was great and I had no issues with it at all. I'd happily listen to another of her performances. She did a great job with all of the various characters and her voice was filled with various emotions when necessary. I was voluntarily provided this free review copy audiobook by the author, narrator, or publisher for an honest review.

Color Me Surprised

I got this advanced reader copy via audiobook boom. I have listened to many Pride and Prejudices adaptations in the past year. This one blew me away. I loved the interactions between the characters and the angst that Elizabeth and William experienced. That aunt would be the one that I would have killed off much sooner. but she has a place in future stories with her snobbish ways. I was truly surprised to discover the real killer. the narrator did each voice so well that you could actually believe that they talked like that. I will listen to the next installment especially if I get an advanced copy. The story was fun as well as suspenseful. Love those strong heroines.

Good mystery book.

I found this book enjoyable. I only wish there was more development of Elizabeth's and Darcy's relationship but I'm assuming that occurs in the first book. Lots of surprises. Narrator did a good job.
