Great follow up to a first book which I loved. This one built onto an already pretty deep world and furthered connections to characters. I haven’t been this excited for a series and anticipating a release in a long time

This second book in the series is non-stop, never a dull moment. Much like the first one, very descriptive and perfectly narrated to make you feel every emotion and imagine every moment. It’s great to see the relationship grow between Val and Murat and all the adventures and horrors they go through. Just when you think you figured something out about the story, it twists and you end up forgetting your own name. The author truly has some writing skills with a great imagination.
