The war marked both the height of chivalry and its subsequent decline, as well as the development of strong national identities in both countries.

solid guide

I highly recommend this book to all who want to know about how the rivalry between England and France developed and how the rivalry led to war that made it not just a hundred year war, but a war that lasted well over 400 years.

This war resulted in many significant changes. Language, national identity, weaponry, and even the way that people think about war changed forever.
