The House That Ran Away is about a house that was tired of all the noise the children made by running up and down the stairs, slamming the door as they left the house, banging basketballs against the outside of the house, and the house had not been painted in years. It decided to run away. The Thomas family was astounded to find their house gone! Dad found out where the house ran off to and asked what needed to be done to make the house happy again. The Thomas family decided to pitch in and make repairs, paint the house, and ask it to come back. This is a fun story to read to your children or grand children and let their imaginations explore the idea of a house running away.
