The first time I read this anthology it was great and had well written, interesting stories by various authors. The second time hearing it being narrated by a good worthwhile narrator made it so much better.

Go to Hell with Kevin J. Kennedy's Hell Edition Anthology. I purchased this on Audible when it was first released. These authors did a fantastic job of describing all of the ways sinners can be punished. Each has their own interpretation of what this place is.

The first is City of Sixes by Edward Lee. Slydes is surprised to see himself in hell. I absolutely loved the horrific imagery and that the story didn't take itself too seriously.

My favorite of all of them is We Apologize for the Delay by Viggy Parr Hampton. Hell is a serious topic. I appreciate that there are several stories with dark humor. In this one, every action could lead to bad consequences, and then to hell. I would also hate to be stuck on an airplane like that for all eternity.

The last one is The Charnel Grounds by Ryan Colley. Unlike the others I mentioned, it has a completely different tone. As a reader, you can feel how disoriented the narrator is as he awakens in hell. This story is heavy as a river of blood and is beautifully told.

You can never go wrong with a KJK anthology. They're always really enjoyable!

I always enjoy the anthologies published by Kevin J. Kennedy and look forward to some great stories and the discovery of new-to-me authors. That being said, this one was almost too much for me!

All of these stories are set in Hell, complete with repetitive tortures, demons, and punishment. I enjoyed the tales that featured punishments for people that were truly evil in life and deserved every torturous moment. However, some of the intense body horror was a bit much for my sensibilities!!!

I especially enjoyed "We Apologize for the Delay" by Viggy Parr Hampton with its mix of humor and almost Groundhog Day repetition. Also, "Bad Place Alone" by Thomas Smith fit my thoughts on what Hell might be like.

The narrator did a great job and added a lot to the book. If you enjoy a well-written short story collection, you can't go wrong with any of those from KJK Publishing.

If you enjoy stories set in a truly hellish place and can tolerate vivid descriptions of horrid punishment, you will find plenty to fit that niche.

Hell is Real!
